The SAM 2500 Lowline Airstream Sprayer provides the user with the
choice of air assisted or conventional spraying. Equipped with a
12/18/24 metre boom as standard, it is the only machine to offer air
assisted spraying at three working widths. The SAM Airstream can
produce exit air velocity from the fan of 40 metres per second or 144
kilometres per hour.
By using an angled air outlet the system produces "crop tilt" to
ensure excellent penetration of the most difficult crop canopy.
Nozzle spacings of one quarter of a metre ensure accurate droplet
placement and an air pressure guage fitted as standard takes the
guesswork out of pre-setting.
Power for the Airstream system is provided by a Deutz 159 hp engine
allowing 52 hp to drive the Airstream system without compromising the
machine's overall performance. By using a closed loop hydraulic fan
drive with an integral cooler there is zero hydraulic demand during
conventional spraying. The Sam Airstream addresses the two areas
users of other systems have expressed concerns about, namely, not
enough power and not enough air pressure.
All this has been achieved without affecting any of the machine's
normal capabilities, proven over thousands of acres quite simply it
is the ultimate air assisted sprayer available in the world
today.
