An onion harvester is a specialised machine used in agriculture to efficiently lift onions from the ground after they have been topped (had their tops removed). It typically works by loosening the onions from the soil, often using a digging shaft or other mechanism, and then conveying them onto a web or belt. This web shakes off excess dirt and debris, and the onions are then directed to a windrow or directly loaded onto a truck or into a storage container.
