Agricultural slurry, a valuable fertiliser derived from livestock waste, needs careful management to maximise its benefits and minimise its environmental impact. Two key tools in this process are aerators and agitators, which serve distinct but complementary functions in keeping slurry in its optimal state for spreading and nutrient delivery. Slurry agitators are primarily designed to mix and homogenize the stored liquid, preventing the formation of solid layers (crusts) and ensuring consistent slurry quality for spreading. Slurry aerators introduce air into the slurry, promoting an aerobic environment that transforms the breakdown process of organic matter.
