A reaper-binder is a farm implement that cuts crops (like wheat, oats, barley, rice etc.) and binds them into bundles or sheaves. A thresher, on the other hand, separates the grain from the harvested stalks (straw). Essentially, the reaper-binder performs the cutting and binding, while the thresher handles the separation of grain from the straw after the crop has been cut.
